CAGATAY ULUSOY

​Çağatay Ulusoy is a prominent Turkish actor and model, celebrated for his versatility and compelling performances in both national and international productions. Born on September 23, 1990, in Istanbul, Turkey, he has become a significant figure in the entertainment industry, known for his dedication to his craft and his dynamic presence on screen.​

Early Life and Education

Ulusoy was raised in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul. His mother, Refiye, is of Bosnian descent, and his father, Aylin, is of Turkish descent from Bulgaria. He has a younger brother named Atalay. From a young age, Ulusoy exhibited a keen interest in sports, particularly basketball and swimming, and also developed talents in music and drawing. He pursued higher education at Istanbul University's Department of Garden Design and Landscaping while simultaneously embarking on a modeling career at the age of 19. ​

In 2010, Ulusoy's modeling career reached a pinnacle when he won the Best Model of Turkey competition. This achievement opened doors to the acting world, as he received his first acting offer on the same night of his win. ​

Ulusoy's acting debut came with the lead role of Emir Sarrafoğlu in the television series "Adını Feriha Koydum" (2011–2012), which garnered significant attention and acclaim. He continued to build his career with notable performances in series such as "Medcezir" (2013–2015), a Turkish adaptation of "The O.C.," where he played Yaman Koper, and "İçerde" (2016–2017), portraying Sarp Yılmaz, an undercover police officer. ​

International Recognition

Ulusoy gained international fame with his role as Hakan Demir in Netflix's first Turkish original series, "The Protector" (2018–2020). His portrayal of a young man tasked with protecting Istanbul from mystical forces resonated with audiences worldwide. He further expanded his international presence with leading roles in Netflix productions such as "Paper Lives" (2021), "The Tailor" (2023), and "Kübra" (2024).
